LIMA BEANIE UN-DYED

The Lima beanie is made of virgin color Lyocell which is an extremely soft but durable material.  Lyocell is made in a closed loop circular manufacturing process that does not create harmful by-products.  Lyocell is made from wood remnants and is transformed into cellulose with the use of dissolvent chemicals that are not toxic and can be reused repeatedly.  We do not color the Lyocell material as we have yet to develop a dye process that is environmentally friendly.  So not dying the yarn allows us to use about 30% less water and avoid chemicals that would be in the dye process. The single layer construction makes this beanie great for mild to cool temps.
